Description:

History states that the first Oktoberfest was held on October 12, 1810 for the commemoration of the marriage between Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. Keeping up with Erie Brewing Company’s German brewing influence, our brewer created Fallenbock. This brew is a classic Oktoberfest Lager which creates a harmonious marriage of classic malts and hops;resulting in a wonderful clean crisp flavor. Happy Autumn! (Description provided by company)

I've had a couple of other Marzen/Oktoberfest beers and thought they were okay. Fallenbock was much better than the two other Oktoberfest beers I've had.

Poured out of the bottle an amber/copper color with carbonation that coated the sides of the glass with bubbles, as well as a little white head. A big sniff revealed roasted malt, cherry, and toffee. The taste was similar but with some earthy hops thrown in, too. I thought Fallenbock was a bit thin. Very yummy, though!
