Fight the Power was brought back to the condo from Wine World in Panama City Beach in a crowler (a first for me). The guy at the store said he thought this was actually a blend of mead and cider. Maybe I just misunderstood that Fight the Power is done by Cigar City Mead and Cider. I don't know if that means they are a separate business or just different names for the differing products. Anyway...

It was a light ruby color with ample carbonation. Both the smell and taste are a blend of sweet and sour apple flavors. I what keeps this from getting fives are that the smell and flavors, at times, got candy-like and a bit overbearing. Then the next sip, things would be mellowed enough that I'd forgive it.
