What You Expect from a RIS
Pours a pitch black with a tan head. The head looks nicely creamy (almost like a Nitro stout) and has some nice lacing.
Dark roasted malt aromas are strong and assertive, along with some noticeable alcohol aroma.
Taste is strong on the malty and roasted flavors, with strong roasted/burnt notes (like dark roasted coffee) and some noticeable alcohol that cuts down on the aftertaste (which is still moderately long and strong on more bitter flavors).
A quite full body with fairly low carbonation.
Flat12's Pinko doesn't mess around - lots of strong Russian Imperial Stout malt, alcohol, and bitterness are strong and front and center. Pretty much what you expect from an Imperial Stout. Approach with caution.
