Poured from the bottle as a fairly clear gold with a thick creamy head that dissolved rather quickly. Smells of banana, yeast, and malt with slight peach in the background. Getting bread, something oddly sweet (kinda like clove, I guess), hint of hops and ends with a slight alcohol finish. Feels kinda thin for the style. It's good, not great.

Victory Golden Monkey is a Belgian tripel that pours bubbly, golden-yellow in color, with a white and frothy head. It has that distinctive Belgian sweetness to the nose, and the flavor follows suit. This is your pretty run-of-the-mill tripel- decent for the style, but nothing that will blow you away. Pick it up if you have never had a tripel before, as they can get a bit on the pricey side if you go for the nicer kinds.

Golden Monkey looked really good when I poured it; cloudy gold with a thick white head that melted over a few minutes. No lacing. Light fruits, Belgian sugar, and slight booze in the smell. Taste is fairly typical spiced tripel. Bit too spiced for my liking. Started to grate on me the more I drank.
