Pours a slightly cloudy ruby orange. Some thin lacing and a light bubbly head.

As expected, the nose is strong in various citrus aromas - orange and grapefruit, primarily. Malt aromas aren't really noticeable, but I'm sure they are buried in there somewhere.

Taste is citrus centered, with the sweetness of the grapefruit balancing the moderate hop bitterness. Strong orange citrus flavors toward the finish, with a very dry aftertaste. Caramel and pale malt backbone gives a nice balance to the hops.

A medium body, with moderate carbonation.

If you are a fan of the citrus flavors prevalent in many American IPAs but not the biggest lover of the strong bitterness, this is one to try. The grapefruit flavors are strong and recognizable, but this is still an IPA first, and a fruit-flavored beer (a distant) second.
