Right Down the Middle
Pours a clear golden amber with a full two fingers of a bubbly white head. Retention is longer than expected.
A nicely balanced nose - some pale, bready malts along with a light citrus and pine hop aroma.
The taste, much like the nose, is very nicely balanced, although the hop flavors to linger in the finish a bit. The pale and slightly toasty malts do a very nice job at adding a biscuity sweetness. The finish is fairly quick, but does have a little extra hop flavor.
A medium body and moderate carbonation.
A nice pale ale, with nothing out of place. Great Lakes Burning River is both a good example of the style, and at the same time a little too boring.
