A New England-style IPA finds harmony in the combination of hops, malt, and yeast so that no single ingredient dominates the drinking experience. The blend of malt provides depth in body and color, and is balanced by a pleasantly hoppy finish.
As the definitive New England-style IPA, Harpoon IPA is a beautifully balanced beer. The citrus and pine of Cascade hops complement a sturdy malt backbone and the fruity aromas of our beloved yeast. Brewed in the spirit of fun and sociability, it is wonderfully hoppy but remarkably balanced, and is best enjoyed with friends. (Description provided by company)

English Hops are Great!
Clear medium gold with a full two fingers of head from a vigorous pour.
A bright and hoppy aroma, but nicely balanced hop types are floral and enticing instead of intense and bracing.
The taste has many of the same characteristics as the nose, with noticeable and strong hop flavors, but they tend to be more on the floral and herbal side than piney or citrus. The initial bitterness is slightly deceptive - toward the end of the sip it grows into a moderate bitterness and lingers for a little bit.
A nice change of pace from the usual American hop characters in IPAs, the Harpoon IPA is well worth trying if you're a fan of the style.
