Ring The Bells!
Three Taverns' Heavy Bells quad pours a rich, inky brown. The bourbon barrel aging is easily noticeable in the nose of this beer. Lots of sweet bourbon flavor hits you even before you take a sip. It hits you again when you drink it. This beer is rich and chocolatey and absolutely the most bourbon-imparted beer I've ever had. It's almost too much bourbon. By the end of the beer I could have closed my eyes and fooled myself into thinking I was drinking a Jack and Coke. But I really enjoyed it. If you like quads and bourbon, you will too. It's a match made in heaven.
