Hoptimus Prime!
Transparent ruby red, off white half finger head. Nice lacing
Surprisingly subtle aroma, with pine resin hop aromas most prevalent.
A malt front, with some strong caramel and bready malt. Hop flavors are more pine and slightly floral, and are quite well balanced. Bitterness is moderate, but well balanced. Moderately long aftertaste, with medium bitterness.
Medium body and moderately low carbonation.
Despite the slightly-imposing name, the Hoptimus is a nicely balanced IIPA. The hops are strong but flavorful, the bitterness is not excessive, and the alcohol is well hidden.
