Wake up to coffee...and beer
Pours an opaque dark brown or black. One and a half fingers of a light brown head. Strong retention and very nice, attractive lacing.
Nose is roasted malt aromas along with some bitter coffee and very subtle chocolate.
Bitter roasted malt flavor at the front, with the coffee bitterness and flavor at the finish. A long, coffee flavored aftertaste.
Very full body, and fairly low carbonation. A thick and smooth drinking beer.
Coffee worked in to a very nice stout. If you like coffee and stouts, then this should be on your list.
