A good beer to linger on
Kasteel Donker went into the glass like a cola with a small fizzy head that quickly shrank to a soapy film that would lightly lace the glass when tilted. Smells of raisins, cinnamon, Belgian yeast, and booze. Taste is similar with a bit of cola and licorice thrown in for a little kick. A bit thin feel with a slightly fizzy edge that keeps this from being too smooth. With the 11%ABV, you definitely don't want to drink this too quickly.
