Sumpin' Special
Colored a clear golden amber with a half finger of a white, frothy head.
The nose is dominated by the hops. Citrus, pine, floral, fruit aromas are all there. A little bit of alcohol as well.
No surprise here, the taste is hoppy and bitter, but flavorful. Bitterness is high and masks some of the more delicate flavors in the nose, and aftertaste is only moderately long.
A medium full body and moderate carbonation.
I think that if the bitterness in the Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale was a touch lower the depth of flavor would be more nuanced, but this is still a really well done beer.
