Stout of Hops
Pitch black, very full and foamy tan head.
A strong aroma of chocolate in the nose. Some other dark malt aromas as well, but the chocolate really sticks out. Some dark fruit aromas as well as some bright citrus hops.
The flavor hits a lot of the same notes, with strong and bitter roasted and burnt malts, with lots of notes of coffee, dark chocolate. The brightness of the hops really helps to balance out the darker flavors. A long and lingering aftertaste, and bitterness is fairly high.
Fairly full body and medium carbonation.
Flat12's Massive Retaliation has lots of strong flavors, but the bitterness in the long aftertaste is a little bit too distracting.
