Dark but mellow
Pours a very dark brown, slightly translucent if held up to late. Two fingers of head, very bubbly, nice lacing.
Aroma is nicely balanced, some chocolate and roasted character from the malt. A subtle hop aroma that is light and floral.
Taste is balanced and easy drinking, with the roasted malt notes and light sweetness as well. Very subtle hops, with very little bitterness. Quick and light aftertaste.
Medium light body and nice carbonation.
For those who like lighter-colored beers, this one might look a little bit intimidating, but it is really quite mild. For those who like more intense or complex beers, this might be a little bit too simple.
