Comments
Sometimes fruity beers CAN be good.
Golden, slightly cloudy, but with a nice, white and fluffy head.
Not a surprise, but the aroma of grapefruit is especially strong. There are also logs of other fruity and sweet citrus aromas - tangerine and orange, specifically. The grapefruit isn't too out of place in the taste, either, giving just slight bit more sweetness than the you'd normally find. There's some of that orange sweetness as well, with a moderate bitterness and fairly quick aftertaste.
Most beers that have 'extras' added end up being to sweet or just plane weird, but I think the grapefruit works out well in this Rebel Grapefruit IPA.
This fruit's for you
Samuel Adams Rebel Grapefruit IPA pours a cloudy pale gold with a filmy head. It smells primarily of citrus- the kind you get from hops, not necessarily the grapefruit that’s added here.; It’s nice. The flavor has a dominating grapefruit thing going, but it certainly isn’t overly sweet, and the hops are balanced nicely with it. A smooth but dry finish makes this a winner in my book.
