Description:
Our seasonally brewed Redneck Rye-viera is a red rye double IPA designed for cooler weather, especially along the Gulf Coast and in the South. Made with three types of rye and fresh hops that vary year-to-year, depending on availability, the hearty aromatic hop profile of this harvest ale makes for a smooth and spicy winter refresher with a bit more alcohol to keep you warm as the weather cools off. Comments
Not exclusively for rednecks
Right off the bat, I love the name of this beer.
Redneck Rye-Viera poured from the bottle into a pint glass a light amber with a tan pinky-thick head. The foam broke up into a spotty film which lingered thru the session.
Smells of the and grapefruit. I also smell a slight buttery scent.
Rye is the primary trait of the taste with a breadiness that follows. There is a strong grassy hop bitterness that follows and then dominates the aftertaste.
