A medium amber, with a full two fingers of an off white head. Long head retention, lots of lacing and a tight, foamy head make an attractive beer.

Fruity hop aromas abound - you have the typical grapefruit and citrus, along with some notes of mango and melon. The malt aromas are subtle and crisp.

The long-lasting head gives a nice creamy texture on the first few sips, which is a nice contrast to the crisp and medium light body of the beer. Although the hop flavors are prominent in both the front and in the finish, the bitterness isn't distracting or overly assertive. The finish is medium long, and gives a nice balance of the tropical flavors and bitterness.

Lots of American IPAs feature the same Pacific Northwest hops and their pine resin flavors - the Rhinegeist Truth IPA hits more tropical and fruity aromas and flavors. A contrast that I think is a little bit more approachable for the average beer drinker, and a nice change of pace.
