RIS Bliss!
This is now second to Old Rasputin when it comes to RISs for me.
Poured nearly black with a bubbly, thick, tan head. Smelled of toasted malts, raisins, and chocolate. Taste is not quite the same - coffee stands out much more, chocolate passes the raisins as the second most dominant flavors, and there is a smokey finish. Allowed the bottle to warm up to nearly 60 before opening it and am very glad I did. The complexity of the flavors were evident on my first gulp instead of part of the way through my session. So yummy in the mouth with a medium body and fun carbonation. Quite warming and an excellent cold weather companion, comrade.
