Comments
Sierra Nevada good quality and lack of excitement
A good choice, although unexciting. Kellerweis hefeweizen poured a golden straw with a two finger white head and ample bubbles - collected along the glass and rushing to the top. Smell is a bit muted for me...banana, toffee, and slight grass. Taste is strong on light fruits with a zing, banana bread, and a dry finish that hints at hops more than pronouncing it. Feels really nice with a med to full body that bubbles but very smooth to drink.
Simply Tasty
Pours from the bottle a pale, very cloudy yellow with almost a finger of a white and bubbly head. The head dissipates quickly and leaves a thin film with little lacing.
A malty and fruity/yeasty nose, with a subtle sourness along with a bready malt.
Low bitterness, but lots of bready and pale malt flavors at the beginning and lightly fruity ester flavors shortly after. A moderately quick and light and slightly sour finish.
A moderately light body and enough carbonation to give the beer a crisp and refreshing feeling in the mouth.
Nicely balanced flavors and crisp body make this Sierra Nevada Kellerweis a great session beer for a summer's day.
