Description:
Single Intent pays tribute to Belgium’s Trappist breweries, which make a lighter-bodied blonde ale that’s set apart for the monks’ personal consumption and not sold—hence the term Patersbier, meaning “father’s beer.” With a spicy, herbal aroma from French Strisselspalt hops, this crisp and complex ale is too good to keep cloistered. The Road To Flavor
Three Taverns' Single Intent is a Belgian-style ale. Not sure on color since I had it in a bottle, but the smell is very Belgian. Yeasty, spicy, and a little bit of citrus. The Belgian yeast dominates the flavor, with some coriander spice at the finish. There's a pleasant bitter after taste that sticks around for a bit. Maybe a little too much carbonation for my taste, but overall, a nice beer.
