Description:

Winter calls for walls of white and the Snow Roller begins his work. Riding in on wicked winds, he dusts the naked trees and covers the brown barren fields that gasp a bitter breath at the touch of snow. No place is left free of flurry by his icy surf, save for those gathered together in good spirits. Bundle up and let the Snow Roller take your soul for a roll. (Description provided by company)

Pours a dark brown, slightly translucent. The head was quite thin, and disappeared almost immediately - more than a little disappointing with an otherwise nice-looking glass.

Toffee, caramel, chocolate aromas are the most dominant. A touch of earthy and slightly herbal hops as well. Very rich and enticing.

Taste is a balance of the herbal and slightly spicy hops, with the toffee and chocolate malt flavors towards the finish. Low bitterness and a fairly quick aftertaste. Well balanced - just when the hop bitterness starts to rise the nutty and toffee malts take the edge off. Makes you want to take another sip!

A medium body and fairly low carbonation.

Magic Hat's Snow Roller, although hoppy, still has some nice chocolate and caramel malt flavors. The hops are earthy and herbal, and are nicely balanced, with lower bitterness level that makes this beer easily sessionable. If you like brown ales, amber ales, or pale ales, this beer is one you should try.
