Comments
Well done
Amber gold, and slightly hazy, with lots of bubbles and about 2.5 fingers of a very bubbly white head. The head dissipates very slowly, leaving only a small amount of lacing.
A lot of light wheat malt aromas and a very strong whiff of lemon zest and lemon juice.
Taste is smooth, strong on the softer wheat malts with the lemon providing a little bit of brightness in the finish. Almost no bitterness to speak of and only a brief aftertaste.
A medium light body and fairly high but crisp carbonation.
Beers with added flavors can be very hit or miss (and more often miss than hit), but Moody Tongue's Lemon Saison does do it well - highlighting some of the more typical Belgian Saison notes without overpowering or covering up.
