Starr Hill’s Taste of Honey Belgian-Style Dubbel is our rendition of the classic Belgian Dubbel in which we substitute wildflower honey from our friends at Hungry Hill Farm in Shipman, Virginia, in place of the traditional Belgian candi sugar. Dark fruit and spicy aromatics from Belgian Abbey yeast meld nicely with caramel and toffee flavors from Munich and chocolate malts. Taste of Honey has a medium body and just enough bitterness for balance. (Description provided by company)

Sweeter than I'm used to for a dubbel
Damn! This was a yummy surprise! I opened the bomber of Starr Hill's Taste of Honey dubbel and poured the amber brew into the glass. A finger thick beige head formed and then shrank to a mere film. Taste of Honey's smell is caramelized sugar, honey, raisins, and a bit of booze. Its taste is basically the same with a slightly earthy hop bitterness mixed in for balance. There is a medium body feel with a little bubble tickle on the tongue. I want more bottles of this!
