The rye isn't the only thing that's cubed (hint: it's the flavor
Terrapin Rye Cubed pours a clear copper and a thick head that leaves lacing about an inch up the glass. There are a lot of grassy, piney hops coming off the nose, with some bread notes from the rye as well. The first thing to strike you about this beer’s flavor is just how sweet it is. Not in a cloying sort of way, but in a rich, brown sugar, caramel kind of way. It gives way to the hops, but never gets too bitter. The finish is dry, the mouthfeel is full bodied. This beer will linger on your palate for a while, but you really won’t mind. It’s tasty!
