An Essential Quad to Try
The Trappist Rochefort 10 emerged from the bottle a dark red with a huge head that broke down beautifully. I sniff reveals plums, alcohol, and dark cherries. The taste is mostly dark fruits, roasted malt, and apricots, with a bit of licorice and dry wine on the finish. Each sip highlighted different notes. The more I drank, the more I fell in love with the flavors. There was slight fizz on the tongue, but it was quickly covered by a velvet body. Very nice beer - yummy, complex, and delightful.
