Description:

Tucher Helles Hefeweizen is a traditional Bavarian wheat beer. Brewed according to centuries of tradition, this is the prime example of a Hefeweizen.

Tucher Helles Hefeweizen is a top fermented unfiltered wheat beer, with natural cloudiness due to its yeast content and it has a large foamy head.

Its aroma is refreshing, with strong notes of citrus, banana, and melon, as well as hints of spice and clove.

The taste is smooth and crisp, with a medium body and medium carbonation. Wheat maltiness can be tasted, with notes of citrus, banana, clove, and spice. Mildy sweet throughout. Tucher Helles Hefeweizen is perfectly balanced and refreshing. (Description provided by company)

I've been more and more pleased with hefes I've sampled and so snatched a bottle of Tucher Helles Hefeweizen as soon as I saw it in the beer cooler at the store.

I poured Tucher's brew into my new Blue Angels weizen glass. It was a cloudy straw yellow with a three finger thick, foamy white head that wanted to hang out and chat with me. It lingers for quite a while and laces the glass in sheets on each drink. I can smell banana, wheat, and butter(?) on deep breaths and I get pretty much the same notes upon tasting. The hefe is soooooo smooth; the ample amount of bubbles add to the body without getting in the way of the beer smoothly going down the hatch. If Tucher Helles Hefeweizen isn't my favorite hefe now, it is certainly in the top 3.
