Beer for a coffee lover?
The Wake 'n' Bake pours a very deep brown (almost black) with a nice and creamy tan head. Smells primarily of roasted malt, hops and a subtle coffee fragrance, although the coffee is not as quite as prominent as I expected. Flavor is equally hop biased, with the roasted coffee flavor primarily at the finish. Thanks to the oats, despite the intense hoppiness and high alcohol content (9.4%) this beer still feels quite smooth and thick in the mouth and is quite drinkable.
Cafe Mocha Bliss
Wake N Bake is nearly black in the glass with a beige film. Smell is equally chocolate and coffee. The taste is essentially the same with minimal bitterness. If coffee stout's are to bitter for you, this is the stout for you. This is a lovely delight of a stout. It is dense with flavor but remains overall slightly sweet and undemanding.
