Great Beer AND Great Cause
It's nice when breweries do charitable work. It is even better when the charitable brews are really, really good. Sweetwater's Waterkeeper hefe is so very good.
I poured the bottle into a weizen glass. It is a moderately clear gold with a two finger thick and fluffy white head. It smells of banana and buttery yeast rolls. Banana and light fruits are more in front on the flavor with the breadiness on the back end. On the lighter side of a good hefe, IMO, bit a delight to drink nonetheless. I'll be looking for this again next summer.
