Looks Can Be Deceiving
Dark brown, almost black, with a thin and slightly creamy head. Very good lacing in the head - a very attractive dark beer.
The nose is mostly roasted malt, along with subtle coffee and chocolate notes. A tiny hint of sweetness from the malt in the nose as well. The taste follows - sweeter malt flavors more prominent at the beginning, with a more roasted coffee-like taste toward the end. Nicely balanced, despite very little hop in the taste. A moderately full body and low carbonation.
A very nice, easily drinkable dark beer. Not too high on the alcohol, and the flavors are nicely balanced and easy on the tongue. If you can find it, try it!
