Comments
Meh
Pours a dark reddish amber, with a thin head. Head dissipates quickly and leaves little lacing. Lots of bubbles pouring up from the bottom of the glass.
Nose is very apple and spices heavy, along with a strong sugary sweetness. Not bad, but not very beer-like
Taste is similar, with strong apple and holiday spices upfront. A very dry, earthy hops finish and a slightly astringent lingering taste. A very strange combination, and not really in the good way. I was afraid this would be more like a cider than a beer, but it's not even like a good cider.
Fairly light body and moderately high carbonation.
The Blue Moon Caramel Apple Spiced Ale is a part of the Blue Moon Variety pack, I imagine because I doubt they could sell this stuff in in its own 6-pack.
