Description:
Our Grunion Pale Ale wasn’t born on a beach, but in a backyard. Originating from an employee-only home brew contest, this award-winning hoppy pale ale is named after the tiny local fish known for late night frolics on shore. A pair of new hop varieties lend strong yet balanced summer melon aromas and herbal flavors, while a soft caramel malt sweetness holds it all together. (Description provided by company)

Lots of Hop Flavor!
Pours out a clear golden amber along with a moderately long-lasting, full white head. An attractive (if typical) pale ale.
Lots of grapefruit in the aroma, but the citrus aromas also have a nice, subtle melon-like sweetness that keeps it from being too strong or overpowering. The flavor is equally strong on the grapefruit and other citrusy hop flavors, along with a subtle toasty and caramel malt in the background to help provide a little balance. There's a bit of extra bitterness in the finish, although the finish is quick, and the extra splash of hop flavor adds a nice touch and isn't too strong or out of control.
