Blue Pants' Candy Bar Pinstripe Stout is near-black with a thin tan head. The foam eventually became a ring but never did much lacing.
As one might expect, this has a very strong sugar-sweet smell; it is almost smore-like with chocolate, marshmallow, and caramel intertwined.
The taste is very similar with a very light and sweet chocolate as opposed to dark and bitter which many other stouts emulate.
On the light side of a medium body.
I can somewhat compare this to Southern Tier's Creme Brulé, but find this a bit more sugar-syrup flavored than caramelized sugar. However, I would be more inclined to suggest Blue Pants' Double Stuff Pinstripe Stout.
