Description:

Thunder Ann is brewed to highlight beautiful citrusy American hops. She comes off almost tropical; people will find notes of apricot and mango in addition to the citrus bouquet. Honey and biscuit malts contribute to the body as well, making it a friendly, yet bold American Pale Ale. (Description provided by company)

Pours a golden, clear amber. About one finger of a very smooth and creamy head. Very strong retention and some nice lacing.

Nose is dominated by hop aromas, mostly pine resin, but some light citrus as well. Some slightly sweet and pale malts as well.

Taste is very similar, with the piney hop flavors fairly strong, with lower than expected bitterness. A nice balanced malt backbone as well, balancing the hops quite well. Fairly quick and dry aftertaste.

A medium body and moderate carbonation.
