Witte is our version of the classic Belgian wit or "white" ale. Witte, which is actually Flemish for white, is brewed with malted and unmalted wheat, orange peel, and coriander - offering a refreshing style that showcases the Belgian talent for brewing full-flavored ales that are also light and balanced. It is pale straw in color, slightly hazy from the yeast, and topped with a huge white, fluffy head.
Witte is pleasantly light on the tongue, balanced between malt and wheat sweetness. Hops and spice with a subtle clove note backed by flavors of lemon and sweet orange give way to a dry, crisp, refreshing finish.(Description provided by company)

Belgian and Summer in a Bottle
Pours a translucent pale yellow, with a very full, creamy and clingy pure white head. Pour slowly, since the head will end up quite full (and there is some yeast in the bottle) .
The nose is full of the soft wheat, pale bready malt and fruity banana ester aromas. Very summery.
The flavors are similar, with a very crisp and soft wheat and pale malt, along with a light and very subtle yeast fruitiness and a slightly stronger flowery hop flavors. The bitterness is fairly low, and the aftertaste fairly quick.
A creamy head medium body, and very high (but acceptable) carbonation.
Crisp refreshing, along with a nicer depth of flavors than some other mass produced wheat beers, Ommegang Witte is worth seeking out!
Nice and simple witte
Ommegang's Witte is a clear, pale corn yellow with a bright white head. Smells of fresh bread, citrus, and sugar. Tastes of pastry dough and citrus. Quite pleasant.
