Coffee and craft beer are both drinks that inspire passion in the faithful. As we dreamed up ideas for a winter beer, they seemed destined to come together. There isn’t much that’s more comforting on a cold day than a cup of great coffee, and even more so when blended with the rich flavors of a dark and roasty stout. Our Coffee Stout brings the best of both brews with flavors of baker’s cocoa, dark fruit, and a bittersweet roasted malt body. (Description provided by company)

Cahhhhhhfeeeeee
Sierra Nevada Coffee Stout pours a dark brown with a relatively dark tan head, quite foamy. It smells strongly of coffee, which is to be expected. The malt also gives it a nutty quality to the nose that’s carried over into the flavor. Also lots of coffee! I wouldn’t be surprised if this beer keeps me awake tonight. It’s pleasant though, with a body full enough to be pleasing but not so full that it’s a chore to drink. That’s a tough balance for any stout to walk. They usually disappoint me, but this one definitely didn’t!
