Description:

Arguably our most well-balanced beer, Small Craft Warning seems at once hop-forward and malt-forward; our brewers debate over which flavor force prevails in the beer. Small Craft exemplifies a robust pilsner—it’s crisp, well-carbonated, and slightly sweet. The beer is characterized by a firm malt backbone and a pronounced hop character. A fine aroma, from an array of hops, completes this quaffable beer. (Description provided by company)

While it may be completely obvious to others, it was striking to me how Small Craft Warning tastes like a pilsner that has been cranked well past 11...let's say up to 22.

It came out of the bottle a clear amber with hardly any head at all. My nose gets a muddle of sweet malts and citrusy hops, along with some darker fruits or molasses mingling in the aroma. When it hits my tongue, it is a hit of malts, some yeasty biscuit, and a hit of hops...then repeat in random order. The beer seems to have its element fight for attention. Some swallows they would line up nicely and other times the effect would be a bit off-putting. Drinks on the thin side, reasonable gulpable, and the slightly high alcohol is subtle (for the most part - as it warmed, the alcohol became more obvious).
