Description:
We brewed this imperial stout to be big, bold and strong, like a bear-hugging Russian wrestler. A thick body using oats and lactose is complimented by plenty of complex chocolate, cocoa, and caramel undertones, before finishing on a balanced roasty note. (Description provided by company)

Strong Flavor, Not Bold Flavor
Nikolai Vorlauf poured out of the bomber black with a tan cap which broke up into a ring after a minute. Not a lot of lacing.
Very strong smell of fudge brownies and coffee with cream. It isn't complex but is very pleasant. Nicely balanced between sweet and roast.
This imperial stout is so nicely rich. What the smell laid down as the foundation is built upon by the taste. The cream flavors stand out. Aftertaste is a nicely mellowed reminder that doesn't leave any regrets. Felt so thick in my mouth. A great sipper!
